Sadly Vera Wrighton from London, UK passed away on 8 July 2020 a couple of months after her 110th birthday. She was born on 23 May 1910 and was thought to have been the 12th-oldest living person in the UK prior to her death.

Very sad news, RIP Vera Wrighton.
Her death went unnoticed for some time, shows you can never really be sure of the status of persons of such a high age
Cases like this are obviously rare, but is there scope that some of the other persons listed on Oldest in Britain may also sadly be deceased?
